1. Open the buckle

Open buckles on each strap. The buckles offer quick access and secure fastening, making mounting a straightforward process, even for novice users.

2. Wrap the Strap Around the Car Frame or Roof Rack

If your car is equipped with a roof rack, pass the strap under the crossbars for the best stability. If your vehicle does not have roof racks, slightly open the car doors and run the strap through the interior of the car—that way, the bag can be secured tightly without the need for a rack. Take care not to block door seals so that water does not leak in.

3. Pull the Strap Tight

When the strap is in the correct position, take the loose end of the strap and pull it through the buckle to tighten it into place. Ensure the bag is in the middle of the roof and the straps are tightened evenly. Inspect all sides to ensure the bag is tightly secured and not moving around. Tightening properly reduces wind drag and keeps your cargo secure, even while traveling at highway speeds.

4. Secure the Buckle in Position

Once tightened, secure the buckle by snapping it closed. Tug on the strap to ensure it is locked securely in place. For added security on extended trips, tuck any loose strap length under webbing loops or secure it with a small Velcro tie to prevent it from flapping in the wind.
